I’ve arranged and led CPE Walking tours for many different shows over the years. My favorite – and the “grand daddy” of all Walking Tours -- is the Illinois CPA Society sponsored Midwest Accounting Show. I’ve been coordinating and leading the “tours” at this show since back in the ‘90’s and they have become very, very successful. This year we hosted well over 250 participants with tours scheduled on both days of the shows. The participants seemed especially happy with the “mix” of products and services featured this year. I always enjoy coordinating and leading Walking Tours because it means I get to take a hard look at hundreds of vendors’ products. The down side is that I can only feature a few which makes for a lot of disappointed vendors. Luckily, I have developed a very thick skin and taking heat is not a problem for me.
You can learn more here: Sage Accountants’ Network.
We’ll be doing Walking Tours at the Sleeter Group's Accounting Solutions Conference, held the week of November 8, 2010 at Paris Las Vegas, NV. Hope to see you there!!

The second nourishing morsel of Unitarian Universalism I want to celebrate with you today is our tradition of the covenant.
Unitarian Universalism is not a creedal religion; we do not profess to believe a list of articles of faith. Our religion is covenantal. We eed,” as Karen Armstrong has written, “it is common to call religious people ‘believers,’ as thoug

I think you have a decent cacnhe but unfortunately, I also think that there are going to be several other applicants with much more experience than you. But you may as well apply you don't have anything to lose by applying.

Taking an accounting crsoue for a year may get you a very basic level job, maybe a an accounting clerk . Basically this is filing, very basic spreadsheets and probably $9-$10/hr.Getting an associates degree is a bit higher job level, you might be a payroll clerk, accounts payable or accounts receivable, but rarely a "full charge" bookkeeper unless you get about 3-5 years experience. You could make $12-$15Getting a bachelors degree will qualify you for a beginning accounting/tax/audit position and you may earn $15 $20 your first few years, but your potential will quickly rise with experience and salaries of $50,000 $75,000 are pretty common
