The Pew Internet & American Life Project has launched a pretty fascinating quiz. Because I'm a sucker
for these things I of course completed it immediately. Fortunately it's only 10 questions. The results were not surprising to me, but the noun they chose to define the group in which my answers placed me was.
Omnivore.
How clever. Much nicer than the usual words I hear --- geek, nerd, freak, computer-jock, tech-head. I'm not sure that "omnivore" will catch on, but I'm all for it. I'll include below the definition Pew shares and you can judge for yourself. Please click over to Pew and take the quiz and then come back here and let us know what noun Pew thinks best describes you.
Here's their basic description of an omnivore: Members of this group use their extensive suite of technology tools to do an enormous range of things online, on the go, and with their cell phones. Omnivores are highly engaged with video online and digital content. Between blogging, maintaining their Web pages, remixing digital content, or posting their creations to their websites, they are creative participants in cyberspace.
