Several independent news groups --- including Yahoo ProFX Talk --- were buzzing today about CCH
Tax & Accounting's ProFx Tax support phone problems. After receiving several phone calls from users, each unable to reach support, I tried myself. After some phone tree navigation I was surprised to hear "Due to emergency conditions we are unable to answer your call at this time. Please try again later." As of 3:00pm EST today CCH reported that there was no emergency, but that they have been experiencing telephone switch problems. In order to deal with the problems they were forced to switch to "emergency" mode on their telephone system and the [ill worded] pre-programmed message was turned on.
CCH executives stated the problems would be corrected in "a few hours". I'll bet the wording on that message is changed soon, too!
