    Document Management for QuickBooks

If you've [somewhat] successfully implemented a "paperless office" solution in your firm you're probably really annoyed by your clients who haven't. I've found tCngbooks_logohat only former smokers are more self-righteous! In any case, you almost definitely serve clients who use QuickBooks. Those clients can benefit from document management software --- and they're looking to you for leadership. Here's an idea.

Cabinet NG, Inc. is a small software house in Alabama with what just might be a very big product. Cabinet NG and companion product CNG-Books integrates with Quickbooks [thanks to Intuit's now-open SDK] thereby combining data entry and filing into one process. Bills, customer payments, contacts, invoices, etc. can be either faxed to a fax server or scanned. CNG-Books then takes over and files the document electronically into the appropriate folder as it enters data into Quickbooks. If a folder does not exist, CNG-Books creates one using the customer and vendor information obtained from Quickbooks. CNG-Books presents the user with the pull down and data entry fields they already use in Quickbooks for entering billing and payment data. The company was founded in 1992 and introduced the specialized Quickbooks integrated product in a soft launch last September. The single-user version sells for $995. They report users of the CNG-Books product currently number "in the low hundreds"
